What Causes Large Pimple Like Rashes On Neck ,chest And Face?

Hello, I have been breaking out in what I guess you would call a rash around my neck, chest, back and face. On my face its mostly on my chin/jaw and by my ears. Its not acne. Its really weird. Its bigger than acne and doesn t pop and nothing comes out but clear liquid and then it bleeds and leaves a scab and scar. It hurts a lot of the time. Do you know what this could be? I started a new medication about 2 months ago and got an IUD 3 months ago. The rash started around those times.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Painful lesions on neck, chest, back, and face are likely to be due to folliculitis. Folliculitis is inflammation of hair follicles.

I suggest you consult your dermatologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management. Clinical assessment is necessary to rule out other skin conditions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
