What Causes Large Pus Filled Swollen Glands In Groin?
Hi,I repeatedly get large, very sore swollen glands in my groin and have done for the last couple of years. They stay for few days to a week and either go down on their own or (more often than not) tun in to large spots that produce a lot of puss. My concern is not that I get them as I believe it is pretty normal, but its that I literally always have at least one. One starts to go down, another comes up.I ve asked my GP, who said that as they go down on their own theres no problem. Surely it cant be right to have them alll the time? They leave large purple-red marks behind which are unsightly too. Other than asthma and hypermobility syndrome im healthy (had glandular fever as a teenager though, not sure if this is related?)
If it is glands, it may be due to STD or other genital infections. In case of boil or acne may subside its own. so if no improvement use oint mupirocine locally twice a day for five days.
Keep good genital hygiene. If symptoms not improved please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
