General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Usually following IUD insertion or removal you might experience symptoms like cramping & on & off bleeding / spotting (brownish discharge), abdominal / pelvic pain, headache / migraine, back pain etc. These symptoms will settle within 6 months. I advice you to:
- Watch for the next cycle
- Consult your gynecologist for a USG pelvis in order to locate if there is any pathology & also for further assistance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
