What Causes Late Periods And Stomach Cramps With History Of Tubal Ligation?
I got a tubal ligation a year and half ago. My periods have been very regular...28days like clockwork. The first day of my last period was November 20. I am over two weeks late. Two weeks ago I had some side pain, almost felt like a cramp from running. Lasted a few hours. Since then I have had heartburn, headaches, sore breasts, nausea, some pain and fatigue. Took a pregnancy test two weeks ago and it was negative. Took another one last week and still negative. My symptoms get worse as the time goes on and no period in sight.
Pregnancy tests are accurate if done 11 to 14 days after possible conception.
IF the test was done at this time then it is likely accurate.
There are other causes for delayed period such as: (1) emotional stress or illness (2)physical stress or illness (3)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone (4)inadequate diet (5)high levels of prolactin hormone (6)PCOS-polycystic ovarian syndrome (7)excess physical activity
It may be best to visit your doctor for an assessment.
I hope this helps
