What Causes Late Periods Inspite Of Taking Placebo Pills?
I am currently on my first month of lutera birth control pills, and my partner and I had unprotected sex twice in a week on my third week of the pack. I am worried that I did not give my body sufficient time to adapt to the birth control hormones. Also, another factor that adds to my worry is that i am also taking 5 hydroxytryptophan for anxiety issues. I am not sure whether or not these could have had adverse effects on the pill or not. I took Emergency contraceptive twice , and now I am clueless as to what to expect. I am currently on my forth placebo pill and still no period. Is pregnancy an issue here?.

Hi,
The period will come when finished all placebo pills. Taking emergency pills are not necessary when on everyday pills. Taking I pill makes cycle irregularities and maybe period will delay.
