What Causes Leakage Of Clear Fluid From Nose While Lowering Head?

For the past month or so my right hand side nostril leaks 2-3 drops of clear fluid (no taste/smell) whenever I lower my head e.g. bend over, lie face down. No obvious inflamation/obstruction or recent cold, flu, or nasal/head/eye injury. I am male, mid 50's with no allergies, headaches, etc. and occassionally snore if lying on my right side (so I am told!) Septum has always been slightly 'curved' towards right hand side so nasal lining will touch sides during a cold. Non smoker. My partner cannot see any obvious nasal obstruction/swelling/lump but cannot see as far up the right nostril.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Since you have deviated nasal septum on right side with blockage when you lie on right lateral side then obviously the cause of few drops of nasal secretions on the right side may be internal changes like sinusitis or so.
If the fluid is coming from brain that is cerebro-spinal fluid then it would be copious and can be confirmed by the following:
CT scan of sinuses with special attention to base of skull, ventricilogram and so.
It will also show the conditions of all the sinuses and see if there are any polyposis that can cause similar symptoms.
Also will help an ENT endoscopy by an ENT surgeon to see for the cause and get an appropriate management.
