What Causes Left Abdominal Pain During Early Pregnancy?
I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. But I have been having lower left abdominal pain which occurs when I get up to fast from a seated or lying down position and when I sneeze. The Nurse Practitioner said this could be an ectopic pregnancy but given my healthy history, it is not likely. She ordered the standard OB blood work panel and today I just called the office for the results.. they said my beta blockers and progestrone levels look fine.. does this mean I don't have an ecoptic pregnancy??
Hello dear,i ubderstand your concern. In my opnion as the pain is only during certain type of activity it might not be ectopic pregnancy. It might be due to muscular pain.Ectopic pregnancy is assciated with severe pain abdomen with or without spotting and low B hcg and serum progesterone levels. As none of the complaints or signs are there ectopic pregnancy is unlikely.Muscular pain might be commonly seen in pregnancy.Take panadol for pain.Take rest and avoid physical strain and intercourse.Get up from lying down position slowly but not fast.Consult your doctor for ultrasound as it might confirm the diagnosis.Nothing to worry.
