Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was fine this morning and played 16 holes of golf and noticed that my left back flank hurt when I would swing the club being almost 50 I didn t think too much about it and on the tee box of 17 I swung my driver and went to my knees in pain. It feels like a big rubber band pop every time I move and a constant dull deep pain should I go to the ER???
If you are feeling a pop on moving the joint along with pain, there is chance of some ligament injuries. Better to consult an orthopedist, as this might need immobilisation for few days to allow proper healing. Back pain is not to be worried, and will settle in few days with analgesics. For temporary relief of pain, take Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen tablets.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
