Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Left Sided Abdominal Pain After Having An Angiogram?
I had an angiogram 4 days ago through right side femoral artery. Found two 70-% blockages in two arteries in front side of heart and observed previously problematic arterial bicuspid valve. Doctor says I am to later have double by-pass surgery and valve replacement. Now it is Sunday and yesterday developed abdominal muscle-like pain on left side extending 5 inches to left of and just above belly button. It has become more painful today. Is this pain related to angiogram? If so what is causing it and should I be concerned?
Based on the history you have shared, as per your angiogram report your heart is very weak and the pain you have mentioned could be related to heart and as it is worsening so I would recommend you visit ER as soon as possible. Avoid any delay.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
