What Causes Left Sided Back Pain Long After Spinal Fracture?

Hi, I have woken up today with a new pain on the left side of my back just at the bottom of my rib cage. I do have 12 different compression fractures on my spine mostly thorasic. Even taking my pain meds does not help this new pain. Is this something I should address now or wait a few days?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If it causes you difficulty breathing, you should go to the ER for an x-ray just to make sure that you haven't sustained a pneumothorax.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
