What Causes Left-sided Chest Pain, Headache And Excessive Sweating?

This past week had some chest pain on leftside close to breast. Pain would come and go. Had sweats for over two weeks and still having them. Wake up with headache everyday. No energy at all. Have to make myself to try and do something. I did swim tread water today and made me feel better but worn out. Cant figure out what this is. I have been to er and had ekg done blood work done and all good. went to cardiologist yesterday. he doesn t think sweating and headaches related to heart but I am having a cardiac pet scan done friday to make sure no blockage. Wondering if sweating which I continue to have could be thyroid or tick disease. to my knowledge haven t been biten. I have psoriatic arthritis and taking mexothrete in small dosage plus degenerative disk disease, scioliasis, carpal tunel in the hands. I m 70 years old but this sweating and headaches is new for over two weeks now. I have been out in the hot sun all day couple weeks ago and water dripping off me.

Hi,

Noted your history about sweating 2 weeks, left sided chest pain wherein Cardiologist has mentioned norml heart and headache too.
All your symptoms including the weakness and all is suggestive of viral infection. It can be bacterial too if the blood reports indicate so.
If the problem is going on for such a long time you need the following:
Consult your regular Doctor for clinical evaluation, proper clinical examination and investigations:
Tests of blood for CBC, thyroid functions, liver and kidney functions, blood culture and sensitivity sometimes can catch up if there is any bacterial infection.
Tests of stool and urine sometimes can sow up hidden infection.
Ultrasonography of abdomen for liver abscess and so on.
X-ray chest.
All these help to find the cause and hence have guided treatment.
You will be started with symptomatic treatment and definitive treatment if there is any positive finding.
