Hello,

Children get hurt while playing and they don’t tell their parents about it until it hurts a lot, fearing they will get scolded or they won’t be allowed to go out to play again soon.

This might have happened with your grandson, I would advice you to ask him if he got hurt while playing. Irrespective of his answer, I suggest you to take him to a doctor.

The doctor will do a physical examination and take history and if needed he will prescribe some medicines depending on the underlying cause for pain relief.

Also if required he will ask you to get some imaging tests done. Once everything is clear, he will suggest the best treatment option for your grandson.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
