What Causes Left-sided Pain In Head?

Hi Doctor, I had twinges of pain on the left side of my head (near the top area) from yesterday morning. It happened all of a sudden. It s been better after last night s sleep, but it s still there now and then. I haven t been caught by any illness for about 2 years and I kept doing regular exercises--running, swimming, tennis etc. Not sure what s going on. Can you help me out? Best Regards, Claire
