Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Leg Pain, Headache, Fatigue And Vision Problem After Taking Losartan?
I have been on Losartan for about 7 months and while it usually controls my BP I have started having leg pains, headaches, constantly fatigued and vision problems. I saw the eye specialist and he said there were only minor changes in my prescription and my eyes were quite healthy. I have also noticed I am having difficulty sleeping straight through the night regardless of how fatigued I am.
Already you are using losarton since a long time. It won't be the reason for above symptoms. Possible causes for your symptoms are: 1. Viral fever with myalgia. 2. Hypothyroidism. 3. Electrolyte imbalance. 4. Anemia. 5. Heat stroke.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Drink plenty of liquids, check for serum electrolytes, complete blood picture and ECG. Please consult with your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
