What Causes Legs To Feel Hot?

In the last month or so, my legs are so hot when I go to bed. I move them to a cool spot, then a few minutes later have to move again. I can't fall asleep. I have always dressed real warm to go to sleep, but now I sleep with my feet sticking out. I am 51, female and have RLS, but have never had this hot sensation until recently.
