What Causes Legs To Wobble?

I have fallen the last two mornings. My legs feel wobbly and they just give out. I am type 1 diabetic and my sugar this morning was 115. My bp was 122/85. This scares me. I have not had a low blood sugar. Do you have any idea of what is going on? I don't pass out, I am very aware of what's happening.

Diabetologist 's  Response
Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

I think the possibility is that your average sugar has been higher on a day to day basis. I feel that your sugars may have become normal more recently. Foe the body, that is relative hypoglycemia.

From your query, I am not certain what type of therapy you are on. The oral agents can cause hypoglycemia. Also, have a creatinine checked (especially if you are on insulin).

A more extensive testing may be needed to rule out causes of other systems- echocardiography, MRI brain, ekg etc

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
(If the answer has helped you, please indicate this)
Best of luck.
