What Causes Lethargy And Headaches When Suffering From Diabetes?

Over the last day I have been very thirsty, lethargic and have a light headache, basically the feeling of high sugar levels. I have type 1 diabetes but my sugar levels have been in the 4-11 range. I am worried that If my sugars drop I won't be able to feel it. Any ideas?

Hello,
This is not fair to keep yourself hyperglycemic because of fear of falling into hypoglycemia.
Your lethargy, thirst and headache is clearly telling that you are having uncontrolled diabetes.
Headache could be due to high blood pressure also.
Make sure to keep your blood sugar in normal range.
Don't try for a very strict control and don't try to keep sugar levels at the lowest end of normal range.
For example, don't try to bring your fasting levels to around 80.If you keep it around 100-120,you won't have any fear of falling in hypoglycemia.
Keep control of blood pressure as well as lipid profile.
Thanks
