What Causes Light Bleeding After Taking Mifepristone And Misoprostol?
Hi Doctor, my periods did not occur post 8 days from the actual date. And the home test shows a positive sign of pregnancy. I have taken combikit of mifepristone & misoprostol. There is slight periods between days, but still i didn t have my complete period. Is this is a serious problem? Should i wait for 2 more days or shall i go for ultrasound check up? Please help me with complete details.
Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Firstly, I would like to mention that self-medication should not be done to induce a medical abortion since this can lead to incomplete abortion, heavy bleeding, infection and future infertility problems. The products are very small during 5-6 weeks of pregnancy. So, they cannot be differentiated from an ordinary blood clot. To know if the process is complete, you need to get a trans-vaginal sonogram. Please see a specialist for further help. Take care.
