Hi, may I answer your health qu Hi, I am in my 6th week of pregnancy and last nigth when i got home from work i had a a bleed , not enough to fill a liner , but it as dark blood, i had no pain , just a small amount of pressure in my lower abdomen? bleed had stopped and now brown blood when i wipe?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion bleeding along with abdominal discomfort or pain needs to be investigated.The causes like any thyroid abnormalities,progesterone insufficiency,any abnormal pregnancy like miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy,any cervical bleeding due to erosion,varicosities,any excess physical strain should be ruled out.Avoid physical strain and intercourse.Take strict bed rest.Ultrasound helps in knowing the status of pregnancy.
