What Causes Light Blood Discharge While Cleaning Ears In Infants?

Good Evening Dr.Just an hour before I was cleaning my 10 months old baby s Ear with an ear bud after she fall asleep. There was some blood kind red thing in the ear bud from her right ear. She did not screemed n no any reactions from her while it happened. I am worried if it could lead some problem to her in future.

Well, If you are sure it was blood you took off from your baby ear, I would recommend you a consultation with an ENT doctor and get an otoscopy done.
Ear infections are frequent in babies of this age.
The other advice I would like to give you, is:
Don't try to clean babie's ears with any kind of tools because ear channels and ear drum are so fragile that can easily be damaged and cause bleeding and other severe complications. The ear cleans itself and only in rare cases when it is blocked by ear wax the doctor should manually remove it with appropriate tools.
