Hi,

Brown vaginal discharge indicates that the expulsion of blood which has been retained. Such discharge doesn't tell about the status of pregnancy.

Since you are a week late for periods, it would be ideal for you to take a urine pregnancy test and consult Obstetrician with the result for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
