What Causes Light Colored Circles Behind Neck?

my husband developed a couple small light colored skin circles on the back of his neck last year, at first we thought maybe it was from skin peeling or a bug bite, today they are still there but the larger one has gotten larger, about the size of a quarter and now there is a third circle. we have no idea what this could be, he has light to medium brown skin but these circles are very light, almost pink, any ideas??

Hi,

What you describing sounds like a ring-worm infection of the skin. This is a type of fungal infection in the skin close to hairy areas on the body where you sweat more. I would recommend you try Terbinafine cream on the areas and if it doesn't improve please see a Dermatologist. Since this is infective, please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and do not let anyone use your clothes.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
