What Causes Light Discharges Instead Of Normal Menstruation?

Hi i am on the pill but around the 5th march i forgot to take it for 1 or 2 days, this was a week before my period was due. I had a wedding on the 5th and seemed to get unexpectedly intoxicated am completely missing part of my day (im almost certain nothing happened as i was with my brother but im not convinced he knew where i was the entire time). I then had to use the pill to skip my period a week later by not taking the suger pills. I have now come around to my next period which was due on monday. i had some brown discharge on saturday and then got my period on monday. ive still got my period but it is different to what i normally get (i normally get fairly heavy rich red blood), i am getting very light thinner, brighter red blood. Is there anything wrong with this (im a natural worrier and this will play on my mind) thanks :S
