What Causes Light Green Mucus Discharge During Pregnancy?

I am 29 weeks pregnant. Last night I had a light green mucous discharge on the toilet paper I don't think it had a smell. Since I've been up today I've been having period like cramps in the bottom of my belly, lower back pain and slight diarrhea and I've been feeling slight pressure on my hips. My belly has been getting tight but I don't think its contractions. Ive been drinking water all day and baby has been kicking like crazy. Any ideas??

I understand your concern.
Green mucus discharge in 29th week of pregnancy should never be neglected. Immediate consultation of a gynecologist is indicated it can be due to-
- Infection- Green discharge is mostly associated with itching/burning in urine& foul smell.You do not have it still, Dagnosis by physical examination/ swab culture followed by treatment are indicated.
- Loose motion may be associated with cramps, pain in lower abdomen & increased vaginal discharge - which needs to be evaluated/treated.It's good that you are drinking water-add sugar & a pinch of salt in each glass you consume.(or take ORT)
Treatment of loose motions & exclusion of labor pains is the management in such case.
- The last but alarming possibility is fetal distress- ( Excessive fetal movements/ green discharge/ cramps/ back ache,pressure in lower abdomen suggest it- & It does urgent consultation of your doctor /USG abdomen & urgent treatment.
