What Causes Light Headedness And Nausea After Waking Up In The Morning?

I am a 60 year old waking in the morning with light headedness and nauseous that started about 3 months ago. Sometimes this lasts all morning or it may be for just a hour or so. I have COPD and high blood pressure. I have gone to my family doctor and she is trying me on another blood pressure med to see if that may be the cause. However, this is happening before I take my morning meds. I was also in a vehicle accident in early May and am still suffering neck and shoulder pain.

Hello since you mentioned that you have COPD I would suggest that the symptoms you are facing are due to carbon dioxide accumulation. Kindly get your carbon Di oxide levels tested and get back to your pulmonologist for further management of COPD
