I have had a recent drop in my pulse rate it is useally normal but has dropped under 60 and staying in 50,s I am light headed feeling really weak and having a lot of edema in legs do I have something to worry about and do I need medical treatment I am a 63 year old caudasin lady
With your complains you need cardiology evaluation. Your dizziness and lightheadedness can be caused by slow heart rate. For ruling out slow pulse as a cause of these symptoms the ECG should be done and depending the results then stress test or holter monitoring should be performed. Leg edema can be caused either cardiac problems or periphery vessels problems.
Wishing you good health
