What Causes Light Headedness, Fatigue And Nausea Post Dental Procedure?

I recently had some dental work done. The dentist had to cut through a metal bridge to separate two upper teeth in order to extract both of them. I think his instrument was faulty but we did not realize it. While he was using it to cut my bridge, I experienced extreme vibration and it felt like my brain was all shaken up. This lasted for a while until I told him that I could not tolerate that vibration anymore. He then switched to another tool, which worked nicely and quietly to finish the cut. Three days later I started to feel light headed, fatigue and nausea. I wonder if that had to do with the severe vibration in my oral cavity during my dental procedure that might have caused any damage to my brain. I told the dentist my symptoms, he thought it might be from the antibiotics that I had been taken after the dental procedure.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the symptoms of lightheadedness, fatigue and nausea seems to be due to side effects of the antibiotic intake oy as such symptoms can be seen as a side effect of anti biotics and is not a very infrequent finding..
As far as vibrations generated from the dental drill are concerned they are generally not so severe that they can cause damage to the brain and if the symptoms would be due to vibration they would not occur 3 days after and would have occurred most probably immediately..
I would suggest you to stop the intake of antibiotics and watch for the improvement of symptoms..
In case if there is improvement then consult you dentist and HD can advise you a different group of antibiotics..
In case of no improvement consult a Neurophysician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
