What Causes Light Menstrual Cycle After Removing Mirena?
I had the mirena Iud removed after 7 years I had the second one for only two years it s been removed for almost two months and my periods have been really light barely fill a tampon and only last about two days does this effect me trying to get pregnant and why are my periods so light
Hello, Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. Mirena is a hormone releasing intrauterine contraceptive device. Your scanty menses appears to be due to effect of Mirena. It may take a few months to resolve. Similarly, Complete fertility may take some time return. Wait for 3-4 cycles, by that time it should gradually normalize. If you do not get proper bleeding even after that, consult a gynecologist. Hope this will be helpful. Thanks for using HCM. Take care.
