What Causes Light Menstruation After Taking Depo Shot?

I ve been on the depo shot for two months and I m not due for another til first of January. I had a period a week or so ago, extremely light with dark red spotting. And now I m cramping after it stopped and I m peeing a lot. A little at a time, but very frequent, exactly like when I was pregnant before. Im nauseated off and on but no where near as bad as my morning sickness. My doctors keep being very vague about depo provera symptoms and I get a little paranoid. Is that normal on the shot or should I take a test just to ease my mind?

I understand your concern.
Depo provera being a long acting hormonal preparation, is known to cause side effects like you have( irregular unpredictable bleeding/ cramps/ nausea).. in beginning.
Please don't worry., it tends to decrease/ disappear later .
