What Causes Light Menstruation And Abdominal Cramps Post Unprotected Sex?

Hello, me and my girlfriend sex about a month ago, she was still on her period and we did anal to be safe I cummed inside of her butt and she covered her vagina with her hand really good, I also wiped my hand off pretty good and I wiped her butt off as well I think i got all the cum up. So a month has passed and she started her period yesterday but it s very light flow and when she wipes it s a lot of blood and it s bright red and she got REALLY bad cramps as well. She is on clydimicin this week as well and it s worrying her because she isn t having the flow she usually has. My questions are: Could she be pregnant? Could the clydimicin be messing with her period?

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, your girl friend is not having signs of pregnancy. The low flow amount of menses is related to underlying infection (for which she is consuming clindamycin) induced changes through inflammatory mediators as cytokines and others. It takes usually 10-15 days post infection recovery to get body back to previous homeostatic level and hence through next cycle, she will get normal flow and pattern.
