General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Duphaston contain 'dydrogesterone', which is a synthetic form of progesterone. It is used to treat a variety of conditions resulting from a lack of endogenous (naturally produced) progesterone.
Since it is hormonal preparation, you may experience intermittent spotting while you are taking this medication. You need not worry about it. Kindly continue with the medication as prescribed.
In case such symptoms becomes more and bothersome, kindly seek medical attention promptly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
