Hello I am 30 years old. I am not on any contraceptives. I had my last period Oct 21 2014. On Nov 17th 2014 i got what i thought was a wierd period. Very light and diffrent color (light red into brownish) That lasted for 3 day and it stoped. I took many HPT and they were negative. Today 11/24/14 when i wipe i am getting a light pinkish discharge. OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to pregnancy or hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism, or due to stress. Sometimes, the ovulation is delayed and hence the conception of pregnancy is delayed, and therefore the urine pregnancy test comes positive a bit delayed.
I would suggest you to repeat your urine pregnancy test and if negative, then do consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated. Spotting can also be due to local lesions in cervix or vagina including cervical cancer.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health.
