I am sensitive to lite, my eyes can t take it. I wear sunglasses all the time. In heat I feel weak, more than my siblings. my hands are very weak and my entire body is just slow and different. I also can t use deodorants or laundry enhancements like the perfumed static stuff... I am sensitive to chemicals.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to dry eyes but autoimmune workup, especially with another set of symptoms, is a must. Detailed ENA profile alongside ANA, RA factor is a must.

Sjogren's syndrome or other autoimmune conditions like systemic vasculitis needs to be ruled out.

If normal skin patch tests or allergy Tests should also be done. Meanwhile using sunblocks on the skin, artificial tears for eyes can help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
