What Causes Light Spotting And Cramps After Having Sex?

Hello, I have a question I had unprotected sex while on my period and I ve been off of it for 2 days but now I m having this brown spotting since I ve been off of it and I have an occasional cramp but they don t stay long I m kinda worried is there a chance I could be pregnant?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The very process of sexual intercourse can cause mild trauma to the female genitalia/reproductive system which can present itself in the form of mild spotting or bleeding. This can also be associated with cramps.

But if you did have unprotected sexual contact, a pregnancy test would be required 2 weeks from the time of this sexual contact.
