What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding After Having Unsafe Sex?

I recently had unprotected intercourse with my bf and it hurt so he didn t go in all the way and he didn t ejaculate either, yet I started to lightly bleed 2 days after like just a random spot of blood among my discharge. What does that mean? Did I hurt myself?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The reason why you could have had bleeding after an unprotected intercourse could be most probably due to mechanical injury to vaginal mucosa due to improper lubrication.
Nothing to worry as of now as it it is so, it would gradually subside on its own.
You can use 'V wash' to keep the vaginal mucosa hygienic and healthy.
In case it occurs again, the other causes such as polyps or cervicitis needs to be ruled out.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
