What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding In An Elderly Woman?

I am a 75 year old healthy woman. I have Fibromyalgia and hip issues but general health has always been good. Today I found light blood on the toilet tissue after urination. I had endometriosis when I was younger and severe PMS and was on Progesterone for a number of years. in my 40s. What could be the cause of the very, very light bleeding? No abdominal pain or any pain what so ever.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bleeding per Vagina at this age(75yrs) must consult a Gynecologist. US and vaginal examination and biopsy must rule out any malignancy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr C.ELANCHEZHIAN, General & Family Physician
