Hi,
I pill contains levonorgestrel which is used as an emergency contraceptive tablet to prevent unwanted pregnancy in case of unprotected sex or contraception failure. An emergency contraceptive should be taken within 24-72 hours of having unprotected sex for it to be effective. The pill should be taken orally. Also the sooner you take the pill, the better it is because as time passes by, the pill becomes less effective. Most of these pills are advised to be taken within 72 hours. I pill can cause irregular
uterine bleeding, early bleeding, late bleeding or prolonged bleeding, spotting or breakthrough
bleeding between periods, vaginal bleeding,
vaginal discharge etc. Other side effects of I pill are nausea, vomiting,
abdominal bloating, GIT upset, indigestion, diarrhea or constipation, facial hair growth, acnes, hot flushes, headache, sweating, breast tenderness and enlargement, mood swings, depression.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
