What Causes Light Vaginal Bleeding While On Duphaston For Pregnancy?

Hi We are ttc and chose IUI as an option. My husband s semen results are good. I have no health issues and my AMH level came as 2.17. Performed IUI on August 8; consuming Eveserve, FolXT and Consevel tab once a day and dusphaston from 8th Aug onwards thrice a day. I did a HPT on 23rd Aug morning and came negative. I am still consuming duphaston and witnessed little vaginal bleeding today. Not sure what does this mean and can one have periods even during consuming duphaston? Appreciate your kind views.

Hello,

The spotting you are experiencing and the negative home pregnancy test is a sign that you are not pregnant. Doing a BHcg (blood test) is advisable since it is more accurate.

You can continue to take Duphaston until the fail is confirmed or continue to take it in elevated dosage if the pregnancy continues.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
