What Causes Lighter Bleeding During Periods?

I had regular periods til date I am 38yrs wt is 69 kgs ,Ht is 5.5" and have 1 kid i had conceived a yr back but i got it terminated.This month I had some small bleeding at the time of my date for periods and after that I did not have any bleeding Is it I am pregnent or is it a sign of Menapause.Advice
