What Causes Lightheadedness After Taking Zoloft?

Yesterday was day 4 of taking Wellbutrin (150) and Zoloft (50), I became very faint sitting down, I was terrified I was going to pass out. It came in waves the rest of the day. It started right after lunch, so it wasn t low blood sugar. It didn t matter what position I was in. I skipped the Wellbutrin this morning and just took the Zoloft, but still experienced lightheadedness. Luckily I m off today and could rest. How long before I feel better? I took Zoloft with success about 10 years ago... So it s less likely its that, right?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Both the drugs you have been prescribed are antidepressants... & do have the possibility of side effects you have.

I feel you should report to the prescribing expert. (Stop taking or make the dose half till you meet.) for a change of combination or dosage for your health... you may need the visit a few times to get exact needful treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
