What Causes Lightheadedness And High BP?

I AM 65, female, 5 5 , 128lbs, active, I try to walk 2 miles 5x a week, and lately, I have been having light-headed spells, briefly, and palpitations have started, and after having High blood pressure since my 40 s, controlled by medication, my blood pressure goes down to sometimes as low as 99/65 P89

Hello,

Your lightheaded spells may have various reasons. It may be because of high blood pressure. Or it can be due to low sugar levels. I would recommend you to run a blood sugar check-up both fasting and after meal levels. And I would recommend you to recheck your blood pressure periodically and consult your physician regarding the same. If it is too low, I would taper down the dose of blood pressure medication.
