Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
we have a gentelmen in our office who is 33 and he is feeling light headed we took his blood pressure and he is 161 over 86. is it okay to call the doctor and set an appointment or should he go to the hospital? he has been feeling sick however his blood pressure is alway very high.
He is symptomatic for high blood pressure so should be treated immediately. Advice him for low salt diet, regular exercises. You can discuss with local doctor regarding tab Amlodipine or telmisartan to begin. Also he should get his lipid profile and sugars tested.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar Makode
