What Causes Lightheadedness, Headache, Dizzy And Numb Lips?
I have had several episodes like this and am having one now. I feel lightheaded, have a headache, dizzy and my lips are numb/tingling. Very weird thing to describe about my lips. I do have mitral reguratation , but this isn t like those episodes . I take atenolol for that - 1 every day.
Headache, dizzy and numb lips as per your query is caused by anxiety disorder and panic attacks. It occurs along with whenever you will hyperventilate or overbreath. One possible reason for this could be peripheral neuropathy if you have diabetes or any such underlying condition.
Need not to worry. Stay relaxed. Do exercise and yoga daily to avoid anxiety levels. Meditate to gather your positive energy. Take anti anxiety medicine such as Alprazolam. Visit a neurologist and consult all your symptoms to rule out any neurological disturbance.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
