Hi,

I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, irritation of a tendon takes a LONG time to subside and chronic irritation of it can cause pain. This is usually associated with stiffness and immobility temporarily aggravates it, and anti-inflammatories are generally good.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman, Addiction Medicine Specialist
