What Causes Liver Infection After Liver Resection?

Hello, My uncle had 3 surgeries in less than a month, the first one was because they found a small mass on my uncle s colon, the 2nd one because they thought something was going on, on the liver, and third one which is in the same one, because they did something wrong on the second one which caused infection.

The possible causes of infection in this case are related with the duration of the intervention of the liver resection, the amount of blood loss and bile leakage into the abdominal cavity.
