What Causes Locking Sensation On The Side Of The Neck?

I am 22-year-old female. I weighed 53 kg and 5 ft in height. I just want to consult about something. Sometimes, I feel like a side of my neck is locking. It goes up and I feel it through my head. What do you think is this? (Is this possible to be answered?)

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

It could be cervical spondylitis or other spine related problems.

As a first line management, you can take muscle relaxants like baclofen for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
