What Causes Locking Up And Weakness In The Right Knee?

I have no ACL no cartridge in side of left knee for 30 years now having issues knee is not swelled and no pain but knee locked up iced it right away then had no more issues I seem to have problems after light leg curls or leg extension exercises then knee feels unstable cycling does not seem to bother it at all what exercises can I do to strengthen this joint that I will not have problems also could there be arthritis with no pain that could be causing this problem or could this be a strained ligament that needs time to heal ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take drugs like mefenamic acid for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
