Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last night I had a loose somewhat liquid bowel movement that was dark green. I m 61 and have never seen such as this. I ve had spinach, and other things that caused a much lighter green color. This morning I had a more solid bowel movement still dark green. Toilet tissue looked like dark green paint. Is there any organs that would cause this, and I m not sure it s gone yet. I haven t had another trip to the bathroom.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of loose bowel movements which seems to be due to content in your diet, disturbed metabolism and due to increased iron content.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to drink plenty of fluids. Avoid food such as sharp and spicy foods and take over the counter antihistamine twice a day like benadryl , take antacid after every meal and take small and frequent meal. If condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe omeprazole ,ornidazole or albendazole along with laxative .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
