Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a loose toenail on my left foot. It s the big toe. How do I take it off completely OR should I just let it come off on its own? Also there is a brow spot on the skin underneath the toenail near my cuticle. Should I do something? Can that something that I do be natural , I.e. Apple cider vinegar soak, Epsom salts soak, etc.
I'd recommend letting it come off on it's own if you can. The toenail will hopefully grow back on it's own if you don't rip off the base from the cuticle. You can try some epsom salts but mostly just keep the area clean and dry as much as possible.
If you're diabetic, I'd strongly recommend you see a podiatrist in this case, as wounds in the feet may not heal normally.
I hope I have answered your question. Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.
