What Causes Losing Balance, Dizziness And Blocked Feeling In Ears?

I believe I have chiari malformation as I have a herniation of 7mm and have had alk the symptoms of headaches, neck pain, back pain, dizziness, numbness and tingling in my arms and legs, feeling of my ears being blocked. Losing my balance and falling over. Please can you help?

Hi Dear ,


As per your query you have losing balance, dizziness and blocked feeling in ears . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to inner ear infection or condition like meniere's disease in which the composition of fluid is changed . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , blood test , examination with otoscope and physically examination , rotatory chair test , balancing test , hearing test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( gentamicin ) along with anti inflammatory , anti allergic and may recommend hearing aid . Doctor may also prescribe anti emetic drug and sedatives . For now drink green tea thrice a day , avoid bending forward and take proper rest .
